Frequent crashing: MR3040, Canon 5dMk3, Ipad Professional

Hello,

Hoping to get some advice or see if anyone else is experiencing this.

I initially started with a MR3020 with a battery pack, 5d3 and Ipad professional. I was getting crashes on the app every couple of shots, the app would just quit back to the ipad home screen.

I switched to a MR3040 and had one shoot with minimal crashes. I am now back to crashes every 1-2 shots where the app quits. Ipad professional is on 10.3.3 and I have also tried it with an Iphone 7+ on 10.3.3 and 11 public beta.

I have tried swapping cables, airplane mode on the ipad and iphone. It is really adding a lot of time to my real estate shoots. I like using it but I'm at the point now where I don't even try as I usually have an agent or homeowner peering over my shoulder and it's no fun trying to explain.

Tried a couple of more things.

Found something that may have been the problem. Crossing my fingers!

I had been shooting in raw only. Tried some test shots in Raw+JPEG and no crashes.
