Preview picts and storage location problem

I was having a problem after taking a pict, where every single preview was a black frame, though the pict was on the camera memory. DSLR dashboard would go through the download process, but it would show up black. I had it set to use a folder on the SD card. I changed it to a folder on the tablet, and it works fine.
But, I did notice something else odd. When I go to select a folder on the table, the path is storage, then sdcard0. When I go to select one on the card, it's storage/extSdCard. This is all in DSLR dashboard.
This is with a Nikon D3300, and the table is a Samsung Galaxy Tab eLite, and Android 4.4.4 (Kit Kat)
