Cannot get stable connection (MR3020 v1.9 + Canon EOS 550D)

Post by theV0ID » 04 Dec 2018, 21:44

I have done the following steps:

1. Flashing the factory image for the MR3020
2. Flashing the sysupgrade image for the MR3020
3. Setup a root password
4. Put the device into "AP" mode (via hardware switch) and rebooted it and waited until LEDs stopped flashing
5. Attached the camera to the small USB port, then turned it on

After step 5, the camera-LED of the MR3020 device starts flashing. It stays off for ~1 second and stays on for a few seconds (the duration changes from period to period). Then, I inspected the "Syslog" of the device. After I attaching the camera and turning it on, the following lines appeared on the log:

Code: Select all

When I run qDslrDashboard (on Linux) and connect to the MR3020 device (192.168.1.1), the connection holds for a few seconds and then closes. To my impression, the frequency coincides with the flashing of the camera LED of the MR3020 device. In case it helps, I have put the contents of the "Syslog" before connecting and turning on the camera here.

What have I done wrong? How can I get it to work?
Thanks in advance.

Check you power source for the MR3020, try with 1A or 2A one.
Try another USB cable, a shorter is better.

Thanks, using a 0.8A power source worked!
The included power source was 0.4A.
