Histogram not working properly when viewing JPG files in the gallery

When I view the JPG shots in the gallery the histogram doesn't show properly on many shots but when I download the RAW shot it properly displays. I can't be downloading the RAW file for each shot as it takes too long and uses lots of battery. I'm shooting with a Nikon D5600 in JPG Basic/RAW format. The JPG automatically gets downloaded and previewed after each shot. The following are a couple pics to show what the histogram looks like in the gallery for the same shot with JPG/RAW. Anyone know what is going on here? Thanks!

The histogram is displayed for the current image, in your case the histogram was displayed for the JPG image. Unfortunately there is no way to get from the camera the histogram data for the raw image.

That doesn't make sense then. Why are the 2 histograms not identical then when I view both the RAW and JPG images in qDslr? The histogram when I view the JPG is flat and useless as shown in the pictures.
