mirrorless Canon LiveView blocked

Post by ErikaBr »

Hi,

has anybody successfully connected a mirrorless Canon, like M50 or M6 Mark-II?

With both mirrorless cameras the LiveView-Button is blocked, I cannot disable it, so I cannot use an external intervalometer, like the LRT Pro Timer, because it doesn't trigger, the shutter is blocked. The only way to trigger is via dslrdashboard.
Same problem, no matter if I connect via Camera WLAN, WLAN-Router, OTG-cable, Samsung Android phone or Windows X86 Laptop.

With the M6 Mark-II I can use the dslrdashboard at least without external intervalometer.

But the M50 gets error 70 after the first shots on the Android phone, the Windows-Version crashes after the first shots.

With the Canon 60D it works without Problems on Android, on Windows I haven't tried yet.

Thanks for help and information!
Is there a workaround?

Cheers, Erika
