turn off data

When connecting my Nikon D7200 to my windows 10 machine, I get an error "turn off data". It thinks I'm trying to connect a phone? I connect my computer to my camera the start dslrdashboard and click the Nikon camera, then get the message to turn off data. I turned off my phone and still get the message.

Any ideas?

That message only has meaning if you are using qDslrDashboard on a mobile device.
you should follow these steps:
- enable wireless on your D7200
- connect your Windows machine wireless to the D7200 wireless
- start qDslrDashboard and press the 'Nikon wireless' button

* be sure that no other device is connecting to the D7200 wireless automatically
* the D7200 by default uses the 192.168.1.1 IP address, so if your PC is connected to the local network with wire and it uses the same IP address space then it will not work (you can then try unplugging your PC from your local network)

Thanks.....The problem was, on my computer I had two network connections at the same time, confusing everything. I have a usb Wi-Fi setup and an internal. I was trouble shooting slow connection adn forgot to turn off the internal one......works great now that I got my head out of my ass.
