DDserver not found, Android, TP-LINK MR-10U

Post by FnW08 »

Hi, Hubaiz,

Understand this is like a obsolete question as similar threads have been quite for years. I wouldn't be raising this questions hadn't I happened to find a forgotten MR-10U.

System info:
Hostname LEDE
Model TP-Link TL-MR10U v1
Firmware Version LEDE Reboot 17.01.5 r3919-38e704be71 / LuCI lede-17.01 branch (git-18.180.55366-b78664c)
Kernel Version 4.4.140

Installed 2.0-13 version of DDserver on upgraded TP-LINK MR-10U(expanded Rom to 16M and Ram to 64M).

DDserver seen on the page: Systems > Software with the suffix 2.0-13, can also be seen on the page: Systems > Start up with buttons showing Enabled.

Tried Canon 550D and 50DIII with 3 different USB cables connecting them to the router. My PC can control the 2 cameras to take photos via each one of the cables.

Android 3.6.3 version works fine with both cameras when using the same USB cables connecting them with my Android phone.

When JI use the MR-10U trying wireless control, after touching the upper-left corner 3-to-1 hub icon, the app indicates: "searching for DDServer,", then "DDServer not found, connecting to IP 192.168.1.1", then "List connected DSLR at IP: 192.168.1.1", no camera models showed then.

When connecting Canon D550 to the router, the back screen of the camera shows "busy", same as it's connected to a PC.

Plug a USB flash drive on the USB port of the router, it works with the router and the right storage capacity could be showed by using usbutils and WinCP.

Hi, Hubaiz,

Thanks for chime in on my question, appreciated.

The app (version 3.6.3) work fine if I connect my android phone direct with my Canon 550D or 5DIII via the USB cable.

But if I connect the cameras via the same cable to a upgraded TP-LINK MR-10U(expanded Rom to 16M and Ram to 64M), and my android phone is WIFI-connected to this AP-setup MR-10U, the app indicates that DDserver not found on 192.168.1.1, and no camera showed on the list of connected DSLR.

here is the log of today's connection for you information:
Sun Apr 24 10:55:28 2022 daemon.info dnsmasq[1440]: read /etc/hosts - 4 addresses
Sun Apr 24 10:55:28 2022 daemon.info dnsmasq[1440]: read /tmp/hosts/odhcpd - 0 addresses

Sun Apr 24 10:55:28 2022 daemon.info dnsmasq-dhcp[1440]: read /etc/ethers - 0 addresses
Sun Apr 24 10:56:48 2022 kern.info kernel: [ 346.153704] usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 2 using ehci-platform
Sun Apr 24 10:57:18 2022 kern.info kernel: [ 377.046754] usb 1-1: USB disconnect, device number 2
Sun Apr 24 10:58:29 2022 kern.info kernel: [ 447.692850] usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 3 using ehci-platform
Sun Apr 24 11:00:22 2022 kern.info kernel: [ 560.053489] usb 1-1: USB disconnect, device number 3
Sun Apr 24 11:00:23 2022 kern.info kernel: [ 561.161779] usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 4 using ehci-platform

The upgraded TP-LINK MR-10U works fine are a router, I am replying this post at my PC that is connected to Internet via it.

Should I upgraded to the latest version? Or there are other ways to fix it?

Many thanks!

Hi, alisawhalen,

I downloaded both ddserver_0.2-4_ar71xx and ddserver_0.2-13_ar71xx version and tried both, none worked, not aware if there is any newer version out there.

Would be appreciate if any one could help me solve the problem.

Many thanks!
