Why does the imageviewer fix brightness of the image review? If I purposely overexpose the image, the viewer shows an image whose brigtness has been corrected. The image on the cameras memory card is properly exposed.

I have similar problem. Yesterday I was taking photos and were happy with the previews on my phone. Later at home I noticed that all my photos were underexposed... Using Nikon D610 and Huawei P10+

Image review does nothing to JPEG photos. It just shows them.
I have exactly same brightness in qDD and in other photo viewers.
But if you have set screen brightness to high than photos will look brighter.
