OK, I'm in the Danger Zone. Here is what I'm wanting to know.

I see that the MR3040 V3 is not compatible with Open Wrt, yet. So I have been searching to find a MR3040 that is V1 or V2, but it seems they are hard to find and they are not specified on any of the selling pages on Amazon, plus they are getting up there in Price, damn close to a Cam Ranger-$199.00 US. So I was wondering if this Model would work since it has Open-Wrt installed, Not sure about power source.

My goal is to get some thing that works with my Nikon D850, and DSLRDashboard. I also would like to know, from anyone, Is it a pain to hook up everytime with either of these devices, or does the DSLRDashboard remember what ever device that it last hooked up to. I know I will have to go through a couple of hoops to get this done, but, I'm looking for simple, reliable hook up, to an Android tablet Running Android 6.01.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Hi Dude!

I found CamFi at Calumet´s. Seems to be compatible up to D810, but not to D850 because of the D850´s restricted WLan.
Nikon skipped any restriction on Z7.
Wonder what it´s with CamRanger . . . don´t think it would work.

Hoped there might come a Firmware Update for D850 adressing this issue . . . but not so far. Maybe it´s also a hardware
issue.

Shame on you, Nikon!! Honestly!!

Can QDSLR do something to be used on a D850 with WLan?
