Connecting iPad -> TPLink3040 v2 -> Canon EOS 600d

Post by Giovanni »

Hello Guys, i try to connect this combination like written in the subject.
I have first updated the TP Link v2 to OpenWRT. This was the result after.

Then i bought the dslrdashboard App from the App Store.

Then I connect the camera with the TP Link (Switch Position AP) and turn it on. All four LEDs are on now.
Then I change on my iPad the WLAN Connection from my Home Network to DSLRController, the new name of the TP Link.
Then I start the App and press the Canon Connection Button. For two seconds the App try to seek my Camera, but nothing happens.

All the other Buttons are not useful in my situation and have the same result.

How can i get the connection?
Thanks for help in advance.

You used the DslrController firmware that will not work with qDslrDashboard

For qDslrDashboard you must use the firmware available here: http://dslrdashboard.info/downloads/ (scroll down)

As you already have OpenWrt on MR3040 you can use the 'sysupgrade' image and follow the instructions from here:
http://dslrdashboard.info/tp-link-mr304 ... e-upgrade/

Canon WiFi button is for Canon WiFi, not MR3040.

For network connection or MR3040 use network button (first from left on iOS and second on Android)

Thank you for the help. I have updated the TPLink Software. The New SSID is DDServer AP. My Camera is on and connected to the Router. WLAN changed on iPad to DDServer AP. I press the first Connection Button on the App...and nothing happens again. :-(

Long press the 'Network' button (first one) and in the dialog enter 192.168.1.1 (it is by default) and press the 'Connect' button.
Does that work?
