I currently have a couple of android phones that work well over WiFi. However, only one of them works via a USB OTG cable. I have tried different OTG cables and also tried changing the USB settings suggested on my LG G6 but to no avail. I am considering buying an alternate device but given the multitude of options available was wondering if there is a known list of devices that work well via a USB connection. The setup would be used for a Nikon D810/800. Thanks for any suggestions.

Following a previous post I did, having problems to use qDD with a Lenovo tablet, I would also be very interested on having a few references of Android tablets that connect via USG OTG and on which qDD works well.

Well I can say that a Nexus 7 1st Gen tablet works well as it is what I use.
