Stream from Nikon D5200

Post by masteroid »

Hello,
I know it is a little bit out of topic, and if not allowed please delet this thread.
I stumpled across this forum because i tried to stream liveview of my D5200. The camera is mounted in front of my 3d printer and i trigger it via Arduino. I had cheap webcam for livestream, but that now crashed and i thought it must be possible to use DSLR for streaming.
So i installed gphoto and ffpeg with v4l2loopback, but i get no liveview.

Code: Select all

Unable to open V4L2 device '/dev/video0'
Could not write header for output file #0 (incorrect codec parameters ?): No such file or directory
Error initializing output stream 0:0 --
And so i landed here.
Maybe someone here knows more about ffmpeg and v4l2 and can show me the correct settings.
Some years ago bought some of these tiny openwrt routers as piratebox have to look for it.
Better use Raspberry 3 or tplink for streaming? (Is more horsepower /RAM better )
So long story short, can this dashboard make a webstream from liveview.
If not can someone here help me to do it?
Kind regards
