qdslrdashboard connection to iPad/Canon 6D2

Hello,
For a brief while I was able to connect via iPad the qdslrdashboard app to my camera and take some shots using the app. Then it quit and I couldn't get it to connect again. I read in the LRLightroom forum to remove the Canon app from the iPad and try again. I removed the Canon app, and connected the camera to the iPad without problem, but the qdslrdashboard didn't find the camera. Where might I be going wrong?
