Live View - changing focus point - OS X app

Post by cardcomm »

Hi,

I'm using qDslrDashboard with a flashed TP-3040 and my Nikon D300 and D700 cameras. I'm connecting with the OS X version of the application. I can connect fine and trigger the shutter, cage setting, etc.

But I can't figure out how to change the selected focus point. I try clicking the screen with the mouse, but nothing happens. The docs say to touch the screen to select a focus point, but that won't work on my MacBook Air :)

Can someone help me figure out what I'm missing?

Thanks!

Hi,
in the menu of the D700 there is a point named Live-View. There you can choose 'freehand' or tripod(?). I switched to tripod.

Autofokus (Fokussteuerung S oder C): In der Betriebsart »Stativ«
kann an einer beliebigen Bildstelle ein Fokusmessfeld für
die Autofokusmessung mit Kontrasterkennung aktiviert
werden.

After that, setting the focuspoint worked.
