Only the TP 3040?

Post by russellsnr »

Hi, Was just wondering if the TP Link 3040 is the only small router with internal battery power that you can use with the firmware for dslrdashboard?
Thank you

There is a new wireless router with battery from TP-Link but unfortunately OpenWrt isn't available for it.
There are other wireless routers without battery that can be used like the MR3020 or WR703N or the Arduino Yun (only drawback that you need to provide a power source)

There is another TP-Link TLMR10U (http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-mr10u) that can be flashed with OpenWrt. I am not sure if anyone has tried this. or used the TPlink MR10U with the DSLRdashboard.
I would like to hear from anyone who has tried this. Thanks

Hi, No disrepect here but your first post wants someone else to try this option and report findings?
Can you not take this onboard and test it for us?
Thanks

No buddy.
My first post was just answering your question. About the TP link 3040 being the only battery operated router that can be used with dslrdasboard.....

I was just trying to help. By stating that there's indeed another TP link battery operated that can be flashed with OpenWRT. And it might work.
that's all.
I can test it sure. But I dont have it. and I dont need it really. I have the 3040.
Again. I thought I might assist in your query. Maybe my intentions were misunderstood.

Good luck

MR10U is Chinese older version of MR3040 with li-ion 18650 battery. Got the same main components so should work.
