Reliable?

I want to use DSLRDashboard for LRTImelapse work but the last reliable version I could use was 2.7 and not sure I have that any more.

Tried v0.3 beta 5 yesterday didnt work.

That was on a HTV evo 3d android wifi to a 6d. Didnt seem to manage exposure at all though the intervalvometer worked the app just blackscreened on me so I lost all control.

I have the following android devices
Asus transformer (first)
HTC evo 3d phone
Sony xperia Z ( with 2.7 currently loaded).

I moved off 2.7 because I wanted to use my sony A7r if I could too.

is it best/most reliable to just hardwire via USB rather than over wifi? is there a specific android device it is tested with I can buy?
