Canon 500D usb crashes dashboard

Hi everyone,
I would like to control camera eventually using Raspberry pi running qdslr wirelessly connected to qdslr on my computer.
First step is to connect camera running qdslr under win7 64 bit with usb connection to the camera. I have installed the recomended winusb driver installed under Zadig, but using this when i click on "USB" in qdslr it crashes.
Has anybody else had this problem?
