Can't connect to Nikon D40

Hi

I installed the WinUSB-Driver but DslrDashboard does not see my Nikon D40 (connected by an USB-Cable).
Any Idea what I do wrong ?

I'm on a Microsoft Surface Pro 2, Win 8.
