Hi,
My TP-Link has just died and it now seems to have stopped being made.
Does anyone have any suggestions for alternative routers to work with the canon 5d mark 2?
I’m in the uk so a suggestion that you can get in the uk would be amazing.
Many thanks,
André
Alternative to TP-link MR3040
Re: Alternative to TP-link MR3040
You could use the TP-Link MR3020 (the V3 is not yet supported by OpenWRT) but it needs a power supply.
You can also use the Raspberry Pi Zero W, also needs a power supply and probably a case. You need to build ddserver for it ( https://github.com/hubaiz/DslrDashboardServer )
There are also some posts on the forum with alternative routers that work.

Re: Alternative to TP-link MR3040
Is the MR3020 USB powered? How do we know if we’re looking at V3 or not. Many merchants don’t specify this.

I was wondering the same thing. Is there a noticeable difference in the v3 to it's other's, or an easy way to discern a difference if there is one?

Here is also another alternative Gl. iNet GL MT300 ( around 22eur on amazon.de). Needs external power.
And nice instructions from Gunther Wegner: https://gwegner.de/tipps/wlan-router-fu ... dashboard/
