Connect and control multiple cameras

Post by jcmatoskx »

Hello! I am trying to find out if there is a way to connect several (4) sony cameras with wifi (a5000, a5100) simultaneously and trigger them all at the same time.
1- So from what I understand, sony cameras can't be tethered by USB correct? Only Wifi?
2- Would it be possible to connect multiple of the same model camera throught WiFi to only one computer with qDslrD and control them at the same time?
i've seen some people taking about using USB hub with a router, but I don't quite understand how it works.

Thank you in advance for the attention and advice,
much love!

Unfortunately this is not possible. Only one Sony can be connected with wireless.
Multiple connections only work with USB.

That sucks, so it's pretty much impossible to make bullet time rigs with sony cameras?
I wonder how did this guy do it:

Yeah I see that but it seems no camera software is compatible by USB with sony cameras from what I have found

The problem is that Sony does not provide documentation for developers.
They did it for the 'Remote API' but from 2017 they didn't release any new version of it and will not as they archived it.
