What DSLR do you use?
Is camera focus mode set to AF-S?

I've updated the link to missing screenshot.
The (1) and (2) buttons and manual movement arrows are available only when camera is set to AF single mode (AF-S on Nikon).

Hi, Don't no if this has been up before but may help those who struggle with the Focus Stack option.

The reply from GonzoG on 12 Nov 2015, 06:29 shows the procedure for both Canon and Nikon cameras.
I have a Sony A7r and want to know if the focus stacking by dslrdashboard works on that camera from an Android phone.
The Sony apps I have don't seem to support incremental focusing.
Thanks

It will not work with Sony cameras as it does not have commands for focus movements like the Nikon and Canon.

Does using software assisted focus stacking help photoshop do a better job at stacking the photos? I find that my trial copy of helicon will stack flawlessly without a remote while ps gives me blurred blotches here and there.

Zur Einstellung der Kamera.
AF-S

Zur Einstellung in der App.

In der App rechts den zweiten Menüpunkt wählen.
1. General
2. Camera
3. Exposure
4. Focus & Meting ---> Hier AF-S einstellen
5. Image
6. Liveview → Auch hier AF-S einstellen
7. Liveview filter
8. Movie
9. Bracketing & HDR
10. Flash

Jetzt sollten die 1 und 2 angezeigt werden.

Google Translate.

For setting the camera.
AF-S

For setting in the app.

Select the second menu item on the right in the app.
1st general
2. Camera
3. Exposure
4. Focus & Meting ---> Set AF-S here
5. Image
6. Liveview → Set AF-S here too
7. Liveview filter
8. Movie
9. Bracketing & HDR
10. Flash

You should now see 1 and 2.

Making sure only JPEGs are uploaded, also important. Finally, after setting start (near) and end (far) focus points, setting direction toward infinity, and returning current focus to the start point (near) before initiating capture, then all proceeded as desired.

I just finished making a video tutorial!
In it I use dslrDasboard so decided to join-up here and see what was happening.

Please do check out my video and if you have more questions I'm happy to engage either here or on the YouTube video itself.

Best of luck!!
