Cable connection ipad mini with a Nikon D800

Can I connect the ipad mini with a Nikon D800 with a cable? I could not do it. I tried to connect male usb terminals using a female connector.

On iOS devices only wireless communication is possible.

Thank you. Maybe then remove the cable connection icon from iOS version, not to baffled?

There is no USB button in the iOS version. The first button is the network button that is used to establish the connection with DSLR over ddserver.
