D750 + dslrdashboard = slow

Hello,
I have a D750. I just downloaded ios app and tested d750 with its built-in wifi.
It's just unusable. It takes at least 10 seconds to download a raw file. Even jpeg takes time.
Is there a way to make it faster?
I've heard many people buy tp link router. Does it help? or is there a tethered option for ios devices?

Theoretical WiFi maximum speed in D750 is 54Mbps = 6.75 MiB/s.
And this is speed of WiFi not how fast can you transfer data.
If you can, check on your idevice how fast is your connection with camera. Even if it will be 54Mbps, maximum speed you can sustain is around 3-4 MiB/s so for 30+ MiB RAW file it has to take circa 10s.
With lower connection speed (36, 24, 12 Mbps...) you have to wait much longer.
I have D610 and MR3040 router and connection speed is 72Mbps and times are:
- sitting with tablet right next to camera - 10s for
- 4-5 meters away - 18s for download.
And whats most important - mr3040 and my tablet both have 150Mbps capability and signal from this router is much stronger than from built-in WiFi.
To compare it olny takes 3-4s to download 31 MiB RAW with USB 2.0 connection either on Android tablet or PC.
So with idevices you have to have patience and wait for RAWs to download...
Or you can simply set camera to take RAWs and smallest JPEGs for review because RAWs are rather useless on iOS.
What's most time consuming on mobile devices is waiting for RAWs to display. It takes less then 2s on PC (laptop with 2nd gen i5-2410M) but it takes almost 20s on phone with 4-core snapdragon 800 @2.5GHz
