No WiFi setup required. I simply want to use an iPad as a Monitor for Live View shooting, focus checks etc. With no cable readily available from Apple iPhone 6 out to USB Female adapter which would house the Make from the Camera USB connector. Such a simple solution is not possible. I went to the added expense of buying the App buying a USB junction box for the associated USB Cables to 'meet' alas, not working. I don't need to edit the IP info in the Network settings as not using wifi option.

How do I get this to work?

On iOS devices you can connect only with WiFi because there is no USB-host in them.
The Camera Connection Kit and Lightning->USB adapter are not USB devices. Those are only limited for iOS built-in functions.
