5D M2 - WIN 8.1 - usb no connection

Hello,
thank you for your great work for the world of photography. I learned about your software with Gunther Wegner.
I can't connect my canon 5d m2 on my laptop. I've downloaded your software and when I turn on everything nothing happens except EOS utility that shows up. I imagine that the usb drivers are OK because I can control my camera with EOS utility Canon.
Any tips ? help please, I can't wait to do crazy holy grail timelapse, while I drink several beers !
