Nikon has added HDMI to the top end cameras. Is there a possibility that HDMI control can be added to qdlsrdashboard? (I do not know if you CAN control via HDMI...)

HDMI does not allow to control cameras.
You can only use it to view photos on devices with HDMI input (e.g. TVs)

HDMI has been present in Nikon cameras for many years. My old good D90 which is a camera that is 7,5 years old has HDMI output. And it wasn't even a top end camera.
