qDslrDashboard for raspberry pi How to install

Post by flyndr »

Hi all,
I am setting up raspberry pi to operate the camera hopefully via wifi. Currently stuck installing qDslr on the pi.
Running Raspbian on Raspberry Pi 3. Can download the qdslr rp2 fix program and unpack it but i cant seem to get it to run.
New to Raspberry pi so might be simple. Or alternatively maybe it won't work with my version of hardware and/or software.
Can anybody help me with the correct way to install this (using raspberian gui or maybe command prompt?)
All ideas gratefully accepted.

OK Here is where i am so far.
Have downloaded qDslrDashboard_V0.3.RPI2.tar.gz, Extracted files to a separate folder. Then Downloaded qDslrDashboard_V0.3.fix_RPI2.tar.gz and extracted qDslrDashboard to replace the previous one.
Running qDslrDashboard.sh gives the error "failed to start. Could not find or load the QT Platform plugin eglfs".
My understanding was that it defaulted to XCB unless you call the script with the plugin name.
Running 'qDashboard.sh eglfs' gives the same error.
Here is where i am stuck.
Have I installed the program correctly? If not how do I do it? If so - do I use XCB or eglfs, or one of the other plugins?
Do I need to install the plugins and if so how do I do that?
Thanks in anticipation.
