Nexus 6P, Nikon d7100 & qDSLRDashboard 3.5.1

I've been using DSLRDashboard on my Nexus 7 tablet to connect to a Nikon d7100 for a number of months, both wifi & USB. Recently got the Nexus 6P smartphone and have been trying it out with qDSLRDashboard. The wifi connection seems to be working fine, but I have not had any success with a USB connection. The phone supports USBOTG and I have the appropriate adapter for the phone's USB Type C port. I'm wondering if it is something to do with specs on the new USB Type C. Anyone else trying a connection through USB C?

Can you connect and use any other device (e.g. printer, scanner)??

I'm able to connect to a flash drive and a powered external hard drive. Not tried anything else yet.

Hi Allorbo,
Can you explain what worked for you in connecting Nexus 6p to Nikon D7100 and being able to use the qDSLDashboad Android application.
Have you connected back to back these two cables
1. USB 3.1 Type C (USB-C) to USB 3.0 A Female Adapter Cable, USB-C OTG Cable
2. UC-E6 USB Cable
What were the initial issues that you had faced ?
How did it get resolved ?
Thanks,
Shoumo
