Well,
according to the documentation a connection screen should start but nothing happens. Doesn't matter if I connect the camera (w10 home & D7000 or D800) via USB or via (target) mr3040.
Anything I can check? I won't purchase ~10€ for android if I can't get it to work somehow

How do you connect your Windows PC to the MR3040 (wireless or wired)? Is your Windows PC also connected with wired ethernet to your home network?

On Windows you have to run qDD by yourself.
qDD will start automatically only on Android and only if you connect camera directly to device with USB and you have set qDD as default application to launch.
