Canon 80D

Hi, am wondering if there was a chance that qDD nay work with the 80D off the bat? Anyone tried it? Via cable/wifi?
It's wifi network connection seems more forgiving than earlier Canon cameras with wifi (and you can record video while wifi is enabled) so I'm hoping that it may work with the app, or be added soon to the list of compatible cameras (if an update to the app is required). Thanks.
