So, my D810 connects perfectly with my Android wireless, but on my laptop it's only the black screen. The settings are the same, the wifi is connected to the router, but in the app I cannot see the camera.

Other things:
Is it possible to connect the router to an existing wifi network, so I don't need to disconnect the computer from the internet?
Can i use this with Capture One? Just basically to function like a usb connection, but without the cable.

If you have only blank screen then there is a problem with graphics card or libraries.
If you see top menu and app just doesn't connect to camera then check your laptop network IP configuration. It has to be within the same range - (by defaul 192.168.1.*).

Click and hold on the network connection button until it drops down a dialog that says enter DDServer IP address in my case it already had it so I clicked ok and it connected and does so every time I click now.
