What am I doing wrong?

I am trying to get qDslrDashboard to work with my V2 TL-MR3040 and a D810. This is on a 64 bit Windows 7 system.
I started by flashing the firmware for the 3040 with the version from http://dslrdashboard.info/download/ddse ... tory-0-13/ and then set it up as described on http://blog.alanlawrencephotography.com ... s-than-40/
I was then able to connect (wirelessly) to the 3040's access point.
I then downloaded and extracted the dslrdashboard application from http://dslrdashboard.info/download/wind ... 5-1-x64-2/ and ran the vcredist_x86(x64).exe without any errors.
I connected the camera to the 3040 (set to 3G/4G) with my USB3 cable and turned camera and 3040 on and waited for the 3040 to complete its startup.
I launched the qDslrDashboard.exe program and got the connection screen. Nothing happened when I clicked on the 'Network Button'.
When I connected the camera and PC directly (with the same USB3 cable) it all worked fine - after I had followed the instructions for installing the USB drivers at http://dslrdashboard.info/?page_id=180
Any ideas?
