Hide focus rectangle? Extend "remaining time"?

I'm attempting to use dslrdashboard for streaming on a Mac (OSX Yosemite) with OBS. I've got things mostly working, but there are two main issues.
How do I hide the green focus rectangle? It always displays in the live view. Is there some way to hide, remove, or disable the focus rectangle?
Is there some way to extend the default "remaining time"? Or have it run indefinitely? The camera keeps shutting off after 10 minutes. I'm using a Nikon D5300 if that makes a difference.
