Basic kit for iOS

This may have been asked and answered before, but I couldn't find it. I am looking for the basic kit required for iOS. Specifically, what gizmo is required for connecting the wireless app to the camera? Is there a specific wireless router and cable combo that works best?

If your DSLR has built in wireless (or it is one that support the Nikon WU-1a/1b adapters) then you don't need anything
The other solution is to use the TP-Link MR3040 portable router with the OpenWrt firmware and the ddserver package.
You can also use any other portable router that is supported by OpenWrt or any device with Linux and the ddserver application
Some other routers are TP-Link MR3020, WR703N, Arduino Yun (note that these are without built in battery)
You can also use the Raspberry Pi (you need a power source for it and an USB wireless)
