Hi bought a TP-Link TP-Link TL-MR3040 v2.2 and first flashed the factory image from here https://dslrdashboard.info/download/dds ... tory-0-13/ after successful flash then flash the system upgrade file from here https://dslrdashboard.info/download/dds ... rade-0-13/ --- both successfully flashed
then followed the steps here
Once restarted, type in 192.168.1.1. Now you will have access to the new OpenWrt firmware.

9. Now, in the Open WRT password login. It’ll warn that there is no password. Simply type any password into the password and log into the router.

10. Pick another router password. This will be the admin password.

11. Ignore SSH – Hit Save and Apply

12. Go to System/System

13. Pick Sync with browser to set the time

14. Create a wireless network

15. Click on Network/Wifi

16. Enable the Generic SSID (mine was already enabled)

17. Edit Settings

18. Under ESSID change the name of the network from OpenWRT to whatever you want to call it.

19. Check the LAN button under network.-done

Now switch on the tp link on 3g/4g mode and connected it to nikon D810 and macpro found the wifi name fine and connected to it but the app downloaded from here https://dslrdashboard.info/download/osx-v3-5-3-x64/ opens fine but does not connect to camera and neither tethering works

I guess you can access the OpenWrt web interfaces from your OSX at http://192.168.1.1 ?
If yes then:
- turn on the MR3040 and wait till it boots (the wireless LED is on)
- connect your D810 with USB to the MR3040 full size USB port and turn it on
- on your OSX in a browser navigate to http://192.168.1.1
- in the OpenWRT web interface navigate to Status->System log
at the end you should have something like this:

what's a full size usb ----- http://www.amazon.in/BlueRigger-SuperSp ... B00HLTU1M0 do you mean this sort as I am using the simple usb2 wire that came along with the 3040.

I tried connecting from DDServer option and it connected fine with the Nikon D810 but still I am not sure if its the right way as the interface was bit laggy and the file was taking to long to show up and yes the file was raw NEF format around 40mb each.

will inform the other details tomorrow once i reach studio on status-system log part, hope this much info share some light on my issue

The USB cable that came with the MR3040 is for charging it.
The small USB port on it is only for charging.
You must connect your D810 to the full size USB port with the USB cable that you got with your D810
