nikon d90, ipad and lightning to usb camera adapter?

Hi there!
I have a nikon d90 and Im thinking about getting dslrdashboard for my ipad. Next week I will buy TP link TL-MR3040 to get connected but I just got an idea.. instead of getting modem can I buy adapter for my ipad ? link: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD821 ... ra-adapter
and connect comera with it ?
Will it work ?
