With Canon 5DIV and v3.5.3 on iPad Air 2 Liveview does not refresh during TL sequence when shutter speed is 1" or longer (works fine for any speed faster than 1" - Interval set at 2"or 3"). Also, camera setting or TL sequence page often can be unselectable after sequence started (button turns amber till sequence ends). This is only intermittent, and usually happens when the shutter speed is 1" or slower. RAW+sJPG for LRTimelapse.

Another intermittent issue is that Dashboard will sometimes not finish a sequence; i.e., it will not take the selected number of frames, even with plenty of room on the card. In case you're wondering, the app stayed connected.

If your shutter speed is set to 1" then you must use at least 4-5" interval (depends on camera/SD card, you must find out what works best with your setup). If you use shorter interval qDslrDashboard will not have enough time to download and process the image.

This is because the interval was to short.
