For remote astrophotography application this would be very useful.

Is there a way to run the server component on RPi? I keep getting screen-related error when running the .sh file.

I know I can run the server via openwrt, but this seems backwards to me. I'm controlling other components on the telescope setup via the headless RPi, and I would like to use this to control the DSLR camera. Thanks!

You can run ddserver ( https://github.com/hubaiz/DslrDashboardServer ) on Raspberry and then control the connected DSLR to it with qDslrDashboard.
You can run qDslrDashboard on Raspberry but for that you will need a display attached to it.
