remote timelapse setup

I've been using the qDSLRDashboard with a tp router for a few years now to control remote cameras. Love it and thanks for creating it. I have a project to set up a camera in an indoor space to do a long term time-lapse. Is there a way to connect this router to an existing wifi in the location to have it transmit images directly to a remote server? Can I control my camera over the internet? thanks for any ideas or suggestions.
