Best compact camera for dslrdashboard and lrtimelapse

I am looking for a good compact camera for timelapses using dslrdashboard and lrtimelapse.
Is there any ?? Or dslrdashboard just support "big" dslr camera ???

I am traveling with kids now and my 5d3 takes to much space in the bag.

I cannot give you any good news..I am here to ask the same question.

I have been using a mix of my 5D3 (+ Laptop and qDSLR) and Olympus ZX-2 with manual exposure changing, for a while, but too have the size issue for a particular trip.

Did you ever find compact/ bridge camera to work?
