Issue with Nikon Command Dial User Settings Resetting

Post by StephenK » 04 Aug 2019, 08:13

Hi there

I'm using the Android app to assist me with some negative scanning with my Nikon Z7, and I have a number of user settings saved under U2 on my command dial.

The issue I'm having is that when shooting in camera mode in the app, any changes I'm making to shutter speed on the command dial are not used by the app, and the shutter speed keeps defaulting back to the U2 setting.

e.g. if my U2 shutter speed setting is 1/2 a second and I decide that I need to make a change to the shutter speed for a particular exposure and I change it to 1 second, the app is forcing the shutter speed back to the U2 setting of 1/2 second.

For me this impacts my workflow because I often use a user setting as a starting point and make minor changes.

Regards

Stephen

Will check this but I would say the camera is forcing the shutter speed value as qDD only sends the command to camera and the camera is the one that decides if it can change the value or not.
