New wireless routers

Post by coupe70 »

Hi,
I got a question inspired by your new images for the HAME MPR-A2:

Would it be possible to offer an image for a router that is NOT battery powered ?
Like (just an example) this one:

That would make the wireless option even cheaper.

I guess a lot of people already own a USB powerbank to power one of these routers with...

If the router is supported by OpenWrt then yes ( http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/start )
There is already image for the TP-Link WR703N (I done most of the ddserver development with it and the Carambola1 )

Thanks, I found this list in the meantime.
For my understanding, I don't know anything about OpenWRT:
Every router needs its own image including ddserver, that you would have to provide, right ?
Or is it something anybody can build on his own ?

You can build OpenWrt and ddserver on your own.
ddserver source is available here: https://github.com/hubaiz/DslrDashboardServer

To build for OpenWrt you will need the OpenWrt source, here you have very good documentation:
