How do I record video of a concert to my laptop? I have a Nikon D5300 with a 20-minute limit on the video length so recording to my camera is not an option.

I have long-pressed the camera icon on the left to change the destination to the local device, my laptop, but all I get are 5kb non-playable video files. I find the videos still recorded on my camera.

I would like to stream the video to the laptop only and record an hour-long concert.

Movie recording is only possible to camera SD card.

Will DslrDashboard ever have this capability?

It is not up to qDD but the camera. The camera only allows recording to SD card.

You can record to laptop if your laptop has HDMI input. Although record time is limited to 30 minutes after which camera turns off LV.

The is no, and there will be no possibility to record video over USB and still control camera.
