Camera Controls Bottom for Video

When shooting video there is no way to use the bottom camera controls? At the moment I am having to go into the live view settings and changing the aperture or iso there. Is there a way to control the camera settings with movie as the objective in the main bottom menu? Am I missing something?

I guess you are using Nikon DSLR.
If yes I'm working on this, when live view movie mode is enabled the exposure controls in the bottom will be changed to movie exposure controls.
