Mulitiple iOS device connected same time.

Post by Ajen Alan »

Hello. Is there a way to connect both my iPhone and a iPad or laptop at the same time? At the moment it seems the one shuts off the other.

Thanks.

Not sure if I understand the question.
If you mean that connecting to the same DSLR from multiple devices at the same time then the answer is no.
Only one instance of qDslrDashboard can connect to the DSLR.

Yes that was what I was wondering. I wanted to use the iPhone as a monitor on a gliderig and then an ipad as a second monitor for a client for example.

Is there a pathway of that becoming a reality? Or is it impossible to achieve?

Thanks for your work here by the way. Great to have this alternative system.

In that form no.
Maybe in a form where one qDslrDashboard instance is the controlling one (as right now)
and another qDslrDashboard instance as a monitoring one that connects to the first instance.

And is that possible? Can one look at another?

Not yet, as I wrote 'Maybe', need to see how it could be implemented.

Okay. Very cool. Would be exciting to see if you come up with something. Good luck!

Hi guys, i'm also interested in this feature,

One qDD for controller, another qDD for monitor.

and i have another question, when a qDD is already connected to the ddserver, and liveview is opened,
is it possible to use another IR remote control shutter to shoot ?

You know sometimes you may want take a pic of your own, but have to look at the screen when using qDD...

So maybe we can using the Volume up/down button of our phone to shoot the pic, or maybe a shake of our phone? :)

No. While in LV you can control camera only from remote device.
