how do I get my Nikon MC-36 Inttervalometer and qDSLR/LRT to work together

I'm trying using my Nikon MC_36 Intervalometer to continue to fire the camera when using qDSLR/LRTimelapse on my Nexus 7 with D810. Both work fine independently but when used together the MC-36 stops firing the camera. Does anyone know how solve this conflict? I'm using v2.09

Thank you

Don't enable Host mode.
While the camera is in Host mode the capture can be started only from qDD.

Thank you for your response. I've tried to switch out of host mode buy the app won't let me. The button stays red and display host. How do I switch out of host mode? Sorry for the stupid sounding question,

If you are in live view you can't.
