help connecting Sony A6000 (mac)

Hi, sorry, Im having trouble! Either I am confused by the correct process or its not working.
I set my A6000 to USB connection "PC Remote" mode & Started the Smart Remote APP on the camera.
I set my computer (imac os 10.13) wi-fi network to the ILCE-6000 (computer says 'connected', but does not ask for a password)
In qDSLR app, I click the Sony Connect button - it says searching, finished - that's it. Nothing more.
Am I doing something wrong?
