Hello,

I have been trying to use qDslrDashboard v3.6.4 x86_64 - under Windows 10 with usbDk USB access. I am using a Canon 5D Mark II with this setup.

I have successfully installed the usbDk drivers from github the latest release build v1.0-22. However, to get them to install I had to put Windows into Test Mode because the drivers are signed with RedHat signature. I can UsbDkController.exe -n and it will list all available USB devices. I can redirect the Canon EOS driver manually fine:

C:\Program Files\UsbDk Runtime Library>UsbDkController.exe -r "USB\VID_04A9&PID_3199" 32000040
Redirect USB device USB\VID_04A9&PID_3199, 32000040
USB device was redirected successfully. Redirected device handle = 000001DDBFC24750
Press any key to stop redirection

But, if I leave the driver redirected and try to click on the USB icon to connect to the usbDk driver it will sit there and state "Searching for USB devices". However, if I stop the redirect and allow qDslrDashboard to try and redirect it will state Connectiong to USB DSLR Canon Inc. Canon Digital Camera loads the usbDk redirect driver and then immediately unloads the usbDk driver and the Canon EOS driver reloads. And, qDslrDashboard never connects to the camera.

I can use the latest build of qDslrDashboard for Android and it will connect to the Canon 5D Mark II just fine.

Thanks for your great product and support!

I did test on my Windows 10 notebook (latest version with all the updates) the 1.0-22 usbDk installer and all of them worked.
You don't need to redirect the driver, qDD will do it when it connects to the camera.
Be sure that there is no other application that is using the camera, maybe one that is automatically started when you connect and turn on the camera.
Also be sure that in qDslrDashboard settings the 'Use usbDk USB access' option is enabled.

When I connect the camera to the Windows 10 box only thing that pops up is Windows stating:
Canon EOS 5D Mark II
Select to choose what happens with this device

I do not have any other Canon Software loaded on this machine.

Next, I launch qDslrDashboard V3.6.4 and I do have under settings the box selected "Use usbDk USB access". Then when I press the connect to USB button the box pops out:
Connection info

16:26:04 Searching for USB devices
16:26:05 Connecting to USB DSLR Canon Inc. Canon Digital Camera

You can hear Windows when the second line is stated; qDslrDashboard loads the usbDk USB redirect driver for a second, then disconnects and Windows then reloads the Canon EOS Mark II driver back because the windows pop up message "Select to choose what happens with this device".

Does qDslrDashboard have a debug log to see what might be going on besides the "Connection info" window?

We know the redirect usbDk USB driver works from the statement I made on my first post by manually loading it from the command line. I know that's the correct device because I used Device Manager and looked under "Portable Devices" at Canon EOS 5D mark II at the Details tab and hardware Ids from the drop down list.

Thank you for your quick response hubaiz! Great support!

Here is a debug version: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PQybc3 ... sp=sharing
Just replace the qDslrDashboard.exe in the qDslrDashboard folder with the one from this archive.
On each start it will create a new qdd_<date_time>.log file in your Documents folder.

Think the problem is a timing issue, after the initial discovery the camera device is disconnected and then again connected and the usbDK can't detach/attach the filter driver.

I added more delay before the connection is made.

I apologize for not getting back with you sooner. Mother's day, birthday ect.. I have attached a log file from the update from your last post. It is still having the same issue. Look forward to your response. Thank you once again.

Checked the log file and I see the delay that I added but that also didn't help.
Not sure why isn't working on your system.
Eventually can you try to lower your USB devices? I see there are some 15 in the list.
