Tp-link mr3040

Is anyone using a tp-link 3040 with a nikon ( d850) successfully with an iPad Pro?
I could use help with any settings that work, I can’t get the camera to send a wireless signal through the tp link for the iPad to see.
I’m trying to get more distance from my camera to my iPad…
Any help or ideas?
