Controlling Camera Flash?

Hi, have serached for camera flash options in the forum but keep coming up with "How do I flash MR 3040 etc etc.
So is it possible to control the cameras flash via QDlsrDashbord on a Canon camera?
Have read the Flash category in the instructions but not sure if it is saying Nikon only.
